Interregional Course on International Labour Standards focussed on OSH and Violence

This training aimed to reinforce the role of workers’ organizations in taking advantage of the inclusion of safe and healthy Working Environment in the ILO’s framework of fundamental principles and rights at work, and the implications arising out of this for trade unions’ agendas, focusing on violence and harassment as an Important OSH issue. OBJECTIVES At the end of the training participants will: • Discuss the implications of including Working Environment within the ILO’s framework of fundamental principles and rights at work. • Analyze the linkages between implementing comprehensive OSH policies and addressing violence and harassment in the world of work. • Identify the power and new approaches of social dialogue and collective agreements for implementing working environments with OSH policies and free from violence and harassment. CONTENT Week 1. Safe and healthy Working Environment inclusion in the ILO’s framework of fundamental principles and rights at work. Week 2. Implications of designing and implementing comprehensive OSH policies and guidelines for the management of violence and harassment in the world of work, in light of OSH being considered a fundamental principle and right at work. Week 3. Social dialogue and collective agreements implications Week 4. Course Wrap up and final evaluation.
