This tutor-based online certification programme provides a step-by-step guide through the change management process, understanding its evolution and most prominent theories; reflecting on the key enabling factors and challenges; and applying adequate methods and practical tools.
OBJECTIVES
After attending this certification programme, it is expected that participants are able to:
• Describe and explain concepts and methods to implement organisational change;
• Conduct a change analysis and identify change drivers using different tools;
• Design a theory of change to inform relevant and feasible change initiatives;
• Develop a stakeholder engagement plan based on previous mapping and analysis;
• Strengthen the technical capability to interpret and identify opportunities for strategic interventions and organisational development;
• Design and implement a change management plan.
CONTENT
I. Distance learning modules, the online certification programme was delivered through the ITCILO online platform, the e-Campus. Participants completed the following 8 tutor-guided modules introducing, in detail, the knowledge and skills required to effectively implement change management initiatives:
1. Introduction to Organisational Development and Change Management;
2. Fundamentals of Change Management;
3. Preparing for Change;
4. Developing the Change Vision;
5. Change Readiness;
6. Stakeholder Engagement;
7. Sustainability;
8. Monitoring and Reporting.
II. Knowledge tests and practical assignments for every module, participants were required to study the content, to respond to a knowledge test and to practice by applying the knowledge, tools and techniques on their own change initiatives.
III. Carry-though assignment
Throughout the 8 modules, participants completed a practicum, with the support and guidance of a coach. By means of a final carry-through assignment, participants developed a comprehensive change management plan to implement a real change initiative in their professional context.
RESULTS
This certificate of achievement has been delivered to the participants who have produced the required deliverables by completing individual assignments during each phase of the programme:

· Acquisition of practical knowledge and skills.
III. Carry-though assignment
· Development and submission of a comprehensive change management plan to the ITCILO experts for review, assessment and certification.
