Track 2 – Union Foresight and Youth

The training activity on Union Foresight and Youth consisted of one week of online learning and 2.5 days of training in presence. The focus of the course was twofold: i. Trade Unions and Futures Thinking and ii. Green and Digital Transitions.

The online component included participating in a live webinar, completing templates, engaging in peer-to-peer forum discussion.

During the face-to-face phase, the participants explored foresight tools and techniques with a special focus on green and digital transitions.


OBJECTIVES

Upon successful completion of the training, the participants were able to:

Understand the concept of foresight and its application to trade unions for anticipating and navigating future trends.

Identify and analyse emerging trends impacting young workers in the EU industry through horizon scanning.

Construct multiple future scenarios based on current trends to anticipate and address industry challenges.

Develop strategic actions for enhancing youth structures and advocating for workers' rights.

Strengthen advocacy and dialogue skills to effectively address industry digital and green transformations while upholding workers’ rights.

Engage in collaborative learning by sharing ideas for action and receiving peer-to-peer and expert feedback.
