UNDP EVALUATION PRACTITIONER COURSE

UNDP conducts a significant number of evaluations each year, mostly at the regional and country level. To support colleagues in planning, implementing and managing decentralised evaluations, the UNDP Independent Evaluation Office (IEO) in New York has established policies, guidelines, and services to support decentralised evaluations. The UNDP IEO and the Regional Bureau for Europe and Central Asia, brought colleagues together for the first in-person training in a number of years to share experiences and also introduce changes in the Evaluation guidance and provide new skills to ensure better quality, reliable, credible and usable evaluations to ensure evaluations can inform management decision making. OBJECTIVES The objective of the training is to update UNDP colleagues on the processes, and methodologies for managing decentralised evaluations while also creating a platform for knowledge sharing between country office, regional hubs and headquarters colleagues.
