General objective
The general objective of the course was to strength the capacity of National Monitoring Teams of IndustriALL-H&M to effectively address complaints and compliance issues on safety and health in textiles, clothing, leather and footwear companies.
Specific objectives
Upon the completion of the course, participants were expected to be able to:
· Better understand the general principles and guidelines of the ILO for improving safety and health at national and workplace levels, as well as international good practices relating to OSH management in enterprises.
· Discuss conflictual OSH situations, activities and functions undertaken in textiles, clothing, leather and footwear companies and propose measures for improvement.
· Prepare draft recommendations on the feasibility of applying the analysed approaches, proposal and experiences to their national and company contexts.
· Advise and transfer knowledge on OSH management to employers and workers for the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases in textiles, clothing, leather and footwear companies.
