Sustainable and Resilient Enterprises

The Sustainable and Resilient Enterprises (SURE) training programme seeks to strengthen the capacities of SMEs to prepare, respond, and adapt to the impact of hazards such as disasters, conflict, pandemics and others. This training of trainers programme is the first step in equipping trainers with the tools to deliver the SURE programme to SMEs. OBJECTIVES The objectives of the SURE Training of Trainers (TOT) are to 1) Enable participants to provide training to entrepreneurs on SURE tools. 2) Enable participants to offer group or individual coaching sessions to entrepreneurs and/or management teams using SURE tools. 3) Enable participants to adapt and contextualize SURE training material to the needs of their target companies and the local risk context. CONTENT The course used a participatory, action-oriented approach based on practical examples of SMEs that completed the SURE programme in the past. The training is composed of training workshops (face-to-face or online), self-guided learning modules. During the training, learned about the foundations of the SURE programme, including: • Crisis leadership and staff engagement tools, • Hazard identification and risk assessment • Business impact scenarios and risk management tools • Business adaptation strategies.
