The aim of this training course was to reflect on the necessary skills for labour dispute resolution and consequently improve the capacities of participants to deal with conflicts OBJECTIVES At the end of this training programme, participants were be able to: • Identify skills and competencies for effective dispute resolution • Critically reflect on how dispute resolution institutions can support the professional growth of their staff • Identify obstacles to dispute resolution • Identity biases and assumptions that have an impact on parties behaviours during conciliation • Identify bias and assumptions that have an impact on the conciliators behaviours during conciliation CONTENT • Building rapport and empathy • Dispute resolution in practice: which behaviours stand in the way of effective dispute resolution/ what fosters dispute resolution • Impact of bias and assumptions and dispute resolution • Working with bias and assumptions
