In 2018, the Government of Georgia adopted the Georgia Human Rights National Action Plan (GHRNAP). This umbrella Human Rights framework contains a specific chapter on Business and Human Rights, developed in line with the guidance provided by the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. Covering many topics, the NAPBHR formulates actions to be taken by the government that can alleviate many of the employment related challenges Georgia is facing in and through partnership with the private sector (Georgian SMEs, MNEs).
OBJECTIVES
The webinar series aims to strengthen the capacity of participants on the Georgia National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights and with a specific focus on the labour rights related human rights and responsible business practices.
