Global Youth Leadership Academy (GYLA)

Developing Youth as Future Leaders for Global Engagement in SDGs 10 - 28 August 2020 Global Youth Leadership Academy (GYLA) is one of the flagship and brand programmes of International Training Centre of the ILO (ITCILO), which is located at the UN Campus in Turin, Italy. GYLA was created in 2016 in collaboration with the Chinese universities. Its mission is to inspire and empower youth as agents of change, future leaders and responsible entrepreneurs to build a better world. GYLA aims to create a unique platform where young people can have the opportunity to dialogue with and learn from successful global leaders; to develop a harmony cradle where young people can be nurtured to grow and develop into future leaders, especially, to unleash young people’s inner sources of new growth potential and achieve new levels of personal fulfillment and engage in the achievement of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. GYLA is a perfect programme for ambitious young people who aspire to be successful international professionals, entrepreneurs and leaders in the future. The programme offers participants an exciting opportunity to explore the practical side of developing their successful career path by providing interdisciplinary studies such as responsible business management, leadership, sustainable development, corporate social responsibility, social innovation, emotional intelligence, and multicultural management at workplace, whilst allowing participants to expand their knowledge they have learned in universities, and also to have the chance to research real life case studies and success stories. They will then be able to put all of their new skills and knowledge to good use in their future study and work. OBJECTIVES The GYLA aimed to inspire and empower young people to become a critical thinker, agent of change, an innovator and responsible entrepreneurs.
